Education: John holds a Masters Degree in Justice Studies with a concentration in Terrorism and Homeland Security from Southern New Hampshire University.
Experience: John retired as a Police Sergeant from Henrico County Police Department after 21 years. During his career with Henrico, John worked in Criminal Investigations as an Auto Theft and Fraud Detective. After attending the Virginia Department of Forensic Science Crime Scene Technician School, he worked as a Crime Scene Analyst/Technician for 6 years.
Military Experience: John Carter is a veteran of the United States Army, joining in 1982. He attended the United States Army Military Police School and the United States Army Military Police Investigators School. Working in an investigative capacity throughout the next 20 years both active and reserve, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
